"David Hockney has often been regarded as a play boy of the art world."
This is the first sentence from Hockney's Biography on his website, but to be honest it was his joiner work that I was interested in, although not much work was on his website, I scouted around google images and found a few images that where really inspiring. Obviously I'm not going to do images as advanced as Hockneys work but it has inspired me when it comes to making joiners.
I'm hoping on using wide angle lenses for this aswell, to get an even more stretched appearance on my images. This wide angle theme still goes with what the human eye doesn't usually see, trying to get a better view on large landscapes, and possibly some urban styles.
more planning to come.

It seems my theme has changed from what I said it was going to be, with all this macro it looks like the theme is "Things the naked eye doesn't see", and I would be happy to continue with these.
For this weeks shoot I am going to do do high speed photography to capture images of things that would usually happen in the blink of an eye, things that people don't usually see because it happens so fast. I think to capture these fragile moments would be a challenge because of timing but I glady accept this to see what I can achieve.
In my knowledge of photography, high speed photography requires ALOT of light, so to do this, I am going to use a two head lighting kit made by Bowens, the kit in question (I will get the model numbers later) is high powered so will be useful for possible close ups or standard shooting.
I can't wait to get stuck into this week and start shooting tonight!

Might try and sneak another week of macro shoots in there, maybe not using fruit this time, its fun but, well , I want to shoot something different with macro, see what I can achieve.
On another note we got to make a joiner and some stitching soon, not too phyced about it, emailed the chief executive of Truro Cathedral but no reply yet, still holding hopeful, will just have to get a telephone number and bother him that way.
Might do some landscapes this week, they look nice, but I don't know how I will link it with macro, sure I will fluke it some how.

So last week I chose to Isolate an object in a white space when shooting in macro, but this week I thought about how this artificial environment may not capture the essence of the object itself, the white may have had a more pristine look but I thought that objects in their own environment may have a different look.
So here are my five images, this time I shot a Kiwi. The feel of a kiwi made me wonder what the hairs would look like when magnified. Here are my five images, including shots of the inside, which I took when deciding to eat the Kiwi.

Im putting a link to his website, and a blog about his work on the side bar as I feel they are both important to the advancement in this line of photography, more on this as it develops
Should be scanning those seeds in today aswell, maynot be photography but I can't help the fact that other students dont return extention tubes and macro lenses...

Possibly the Macro setting on my phone camera, most likely a terrible idea but we will see.

So just got back from half term, with some fresh ideas for this project, thinking about baseing everything around apples, hence the title.
BUT! low and behold we have to do some studio work first. I suppose its a bit negative but after the last studio project, I'm left drained of inspiration. Group proect though, should be easy peasy
